Harrison St. D.I.Y. is a volunteer-built skatepark in Kansas City, Missouri. The social media manager of Harrison Street, would like to see more awareness for the park online, as well as connecting the community members they already have to transition to a new era.
Problems
✗ Transitioning to a new era
✗ Disconnected visitor and online experiences
✗ Confusing fundraising process
Solutions
✓ Visual consistency through social media content
✓ QR code posters at the park entrances
✓ Flyers at events
For this client, photography became the first steps of this project. After attending an event at the park, I pinpointed a process for dealing with these images. The purpose of the illustrations are to break the social media feed in order to transition into more visually-striking content, while also immersing the viewer in the visual language of the skatepark.

Solution 2: Physical Posters
Utilizing a similar image treatment as the social media component, these posters will be at the entrances around the park. QR codes are featured on each poster to inspire visitors at the park to interact with the website and social media accounts.

Solution 3: Event Flyers
Finalizing the transfer to this new, visually-striking era of the park, events held at the park will include informational flyers detailing the history and the meaning behind the Harrison St. D.I.Y. Skatepark.
