Ebbets Field is a longtime Springfield institution — originally opened on Cherry Street in 1981, it later moved to 1027 E. Walnut St. near downtown, where it operated for nearly 30 years. It’s known for its iconic little house-turned-restaurant on Walnut Street, complete with a stone porch and sports bar vibe.

The bar closed in January 2024, but new owners purchased the property in 2025 and planned to reopen it in a nostalgic spirit in early 2026. For their grand opening, they approached my team at Heart of America Beverage to design a keepsake for the first 100 entries.

Lanyard Badge System

With the T-shirts not arriving in time for opening day, I came up with a quick solution of lanyards. I chose lanyards because they could be easily assembled on short notice, ensuring everyone still had something ready to go before the doors opened. Two versions were made to choose from, red and blue.
